If someone had told me in 1990 that in ten years I’d become a Christian, a deacon of my church, and the COO of a charitable organization for abandoned kids, I’d have said they were insane. Actually, I might have asked what they were drinking—and if they’d share. And if they went on to say I’d be sitting in a Marriott Hotel in Bucharest, Romania, listening to a teenage girl explain how she and her siblings were now part of my family—I would’ve called security. And yet, all of that happened.
